A fusion genre that mixes ska music and punk rock. Ska punk tends to feature brass instruments, especially horns such as trumpets, trombones, woodwind instruments, and saxophones, making the genre distinct from other forms of punk. It is closely tied to, even identical with, third wave ska. 1977– .
